    Janet Evanovich is a bestselling author known for her humorous and suspenseful novels.     Early Life and Career Beginnings.

    Janet Evanovich was born on April 22, 1943, in South River, New Jersey. She grew up in a blue-collar family and was the youngest of four children. After graduating high school, Evanovich attended Douglass College, now part of Rutgers University. She graduated with a degree in art, but her career path took a different turn when she started writing. Evanovich’s first book, “Hero at Large,” was published in 1987, and she hasn’t looked back since.

    One of Janet Evanovich’s most popular and beloved series is the Stephanie Plum series. The series follows the adventures of Stephanie Plum, a bounty hunter in Trenton, New Jersey.
